The riders braved the record heat during qualifying and the violent storm on Saturday night that made the track muddy in the early sessions on Sunday.
Gaia: During the night it rained and hailed and on Saturday morning the track was very difficult, in the heats I made mistakes and I finished in 23rd position and 4th of the 2 times and in the second heat I started quite well at the gate. The race pace was there, and I finished 16th overall and 3rd of the 2 times … In total 18th and 4th 2 times, now we work hard and try to improve “.
