Merino wool means quality and exclusive product.
There are numerous features such as the fact that it completely neutralizes bad smells even after many hours of physical activity.
In addition to this, Merino wool has a remarkable thermoregulating capacity, i.e. it releases water vapor into the atmosphere when the body temperature rises and suddenly changes its function when the external temperature goes down, insulating and retaining the natural heat of the body.
Its softness is also unmatched by any other synthetic garment: the micro bibs of which it is made, give it a very pleasant sensation to the touch in addition to the natural elasticity that allows its use in the construction of technical fabrics without the addition of elastomer.
But being a hydrophilic yarn, wool has no transpiration capacity, that is, if positioned in contact with the skin, it is unable to remove the newly formed sweat from the skin and thus keep it dry.
Here then, thanks to today’s textile technology, by coupling it with a hydrophobic fabric (therefore of an opposite physical and chemical nature), this transpiration limit is very well resolved, thus creating a double layer, albeit thin, able to satisfy the most demanding sportsman.
The hydrophobic yarn in question is polypropylene, which is able to remove moisture immediately from the skin and prevent it from returning to the opposite side.
Even the polypropylene yarn is completely free of bad odors because it is already colored and therefore does not have to undergo the delicate dyeing process at high temperatures.
The coupling of the two fabrics, polypropylene on the skin and external Merino wool, is currently the most complete technical solution for technical underwear and the new RIDAY Wooltech Summer line represents the freshest and most comfortable choice for summer sports.
